Our Property is a nearly perfect home for Bees. Overflowing with diverse native and immigrant mixed grass prairie species with enough precipitation we have a long nectar flow going from late February to November.
We use organic practices on our land, but additionally, most of the land surrounding my hives is either lightly grazed, unimproved ranch land or publicly owned (utilities and Sheppard Airforce base) right-of-way lands that are untouched except for some annual mowing. With the exception of a few homeowner yards, I can be quite confident that my bees do not encounter any Commercial Crops, Herbicides, Pesticides in their forage radius. Our honey and hive products meet or exceed the current USDA organic standard.
Native wildlife and habitat preservation is a high priority at T-squared Farm and all sales are directly invested back into the farm. As I implement practices that promote healthy bees and diverse forage I also promote native species and pollinator habitat. I am on iNaturalist and have identified over 120 species. Not Plants - Birds, insects, butterflies, reptiles, large and small mammals all thrive on our property.
Your purchase of a jar of honey directly funds keeping our little patch of Texas wild and undeveloped. Visitors are continually amazed by the diversity of wildlife we support just a couple miles from Downtown Wichita Falls.
